Abstract:
Seit der Einführung wettbewerblicher Rahmenbedingungen wird in der Wohlfahrtspflege über deren Auswirkungen kontrovers debattiert. Einerseits scheint die Wertorientierung Sozialer Institutionen im Spannungsfeld zwischen Ökonomie und Ethik immer mehr in den Hintergrund zu treten. Ökonomische Steuerungsanforderungen dominieren fachliche und wertegrundierte Kriterien. Andererseits widersprechen Soziale Institutionen unter Verweis auf soziale Gerechtigkeit weitergehenden Ökonomisierungsansätzen und weisen damit zugleich ihre eigene Reformbedürftigkeit zurück. Der Band führt in die ethische und (gesundheits-)politische Diskussion über den Sozialmarkt ein, wobei auch Ansätze wie Public Health berücksichtigt werden. Die Frage nach Grundlagen und Instrumenten der Führung Sozialer Institutionen wird im zweiten Teil unter Bezug auf Markt- und Ethikorientierung diskutiert. Im abschließenden Teil werden Veränderungen pflegerischen und ärztlichen Handelns vor dem Hintergrund der Ökonomisierung und Professionalisierung beleuchtet
