Freundschaften entwickeln sich aus einer spezifischen Beziehungspraxis, deren bildungstheoretische Analyse bislang vernachlässigt worden ist. Dieses Buch widmet sich der empirischen und theoretischen Untersuchung von Gesprächen männlicher Freundespaare und zeigt, dass das freundschaftliche Gespräch als Ort der (Re-)Konstruktion von Erfahrungen, die sich nicht in eine präzise Trennung von Sozialität und Subjekt fügen, zu fassen ist. Intersubjektive Bildung vollzieht sich als gemeinsame Tätigkeit der Freunde. Die Bildung des Freundschafts-Subjekts stellt vermeintliche Dichotomien (z.B. Bildung - Habitus) in Frage und eröffnet wichtige Perspektiven für eine sozial fundierte Theorie der Bildung
