Abstract: La querella de las mujeres is the name by which the ignoble debate that has taken place in Europe over several centuries, in which the dignity of women and their intellectual and political capacity is questioned. La Querella publicly manifested itself in gatherings and generated an enormous number of writings around the value, the difference and the relations between both sexes. Women and men belonging to the most influential circles of the time, cultural and political, participated in various ways. Spain had a significant participation in the debate and shows that it is the European projection that some of the Spanish works of the moment reached. Here we investigate the presence and development of the Querella in the Iberian peninsula in the fifteenth century, through a detailed study of treaties in defense of women. Works that arise mainly in court environments with the clear intention to respond, to oppose, the misogynistic arguments that circulated in the context of the controversy.

Abstract: Based on extensive field research, the essays in this volume illuminate the experiences of migrants from their own point of view, providing a critical understanding of the complex social reality in which each experience is grounded. Access to medical care for migrants is a fundamental right which is often ignored. The book provides a critical understanding of the social reality in which social inequalities are grounded and offers the opportunity to show that right to health does not correspond uniquely with access to healthcare
