Abstract: "Learn the basic concepts behind Apple Configurator and the types of devices it supports. Discover the new concept of Blueprints and working with MDM and DEP. For those users that have worked with Apple Configurator 1 before, you'll learn the steps to migrate your data to the current version. Learn to set up a clean Apple Configurator 2 workstation, discover what a Supervision Identity is, and create an organization. Customize the preferences and look and feel of Apple Configurator 2. Learn how to "prepare" an iOS device and export data. Also, discover options in the advanced menu. Learn to create a new Blueprint, create profiles and add Apps, and create prepare steps. This will allow you to have a template to use when you connect an unsupervised iOS device. In this video, learn about Supervising devices as you create Blueprints for devices that will allow for additional management features. You might find yourself using Apple Configurator 2 as an initial preparation method but using an MDM for continual management. In this lesson you'll see how to get the best of both worlds by having AC2 auto enroll your devices in an MDM solution. Apple's introduction of the Device Enrollment Program has allowed for much easier deployment of iOS devices. Apple Configurator 2 has the ability to work with DEP as well. Not everything can be done in the GUI (Graphical User Interface). More often than not, more advanced tools are available in UNIX. This video uncovers some of those tools and explains how to use them. Ever wanted to stop Photos from popping up every time you plug in a device? Or are you receiving an error you can't explain when trying to prepare? Learn how to make changes to AC2 under the hood that can help you be more efficient."--Resource description page.

Abstract: "A common struggle facing IT staff is how to properly manage iOS devices once they are in the hands of the user. Distributing applications was a constant burden faced early on as well. But as Profile Manager enters its fourth iteration, many advancements and capabilities have been incorporated in to the service. Apple's Device Enrollment Program (DEP) can supervise and enroll devices over the air and can be critical in ensuring your devices stay under your control. The Volume Purchasing Program (VPP) can allow an organization to purchase apps and books and, with the use of an MDM like Profile Manager, silently push those apps to your devices. This video covers the process of acquisition of iOS devices using the Device Enrollment Program. It also shows how to enroll devices in Profile Manager and how to distribute applications and books using the Volume Purchasing Program."--Resource description page.

Abstract: "Is your network ready to handle an influx of new devices? Will each individual have his or her own device or will this be a shared device scenario? These are all important considerations when deciding how to set up OS X Server and use the Profile Manager service. In Fundamentals of Profile Manager you'll get the basics on Profile Manager and learn what it can offer as an MDM (Mobile Device Management) solution. After learning how to set up Server and configure the DNS service, you'll move on to creating an Open Directory master and backing up service settings. You'll learn how certificates work for devices to "trust" your server as well as the multiple methods for enrolling devices in your Profile Manager solution. Finally you'll learn about un-enrolling devices and what controls the end user should or should not have on their MDM. "--Resource description page.

Abstract: "Systems administrators and power users know that the Mac's command-line interface can be a powerful time saver and, in many cases, the only method to accomplish certain tasks. Abstract: "Creating images for your Macs can streamline the rollout process for your organization. Mac administrators can choose between various methodologies to create deployment images and a range of strategies are available. A traditional "monolithic-system" imaging approach works well for small proof-of-concept deployments, allowing for rapid deployment and user testing. Production deployments should leverage the power of modular image creation workflows to properly scale. This video goes through all the steps to follow when creating images for new Macs and having them connect to your domain, with apps installed and updates applied within minutes."--Resource description page.
