Abstract:
Auch in Österreich wird über die Frage gestritten, ob ein neuer Autoritarismus die politischen und gesellschaftlichen Errungenschaften der vergangenen Jahrzehnte bedroht. Das Buch knüpft an diese Debatte an und untersucht das Ausmaß und den Charakter möglicher autoritärer Tendenzen seit 1945. Die Autoren befassen sich mit den Einstellungen der Bevölkerung, der Programmatik der Parteien, mit medialen Diskursen und der Wahrnehmung der österreichischen Innenpolitik im Ausland.
