Antwort auf Brief, der wieder länger gelegen hat. Aber die Physikalisch-ökonomische Gesellschaft habe eine Sitzung ausfallen lassen. Übersendet Schlangenembryonen in verschiedenen Entwicklungszuständen. Das Zoologische Museum habe kein Bernstein, er selbst und Eysenhardt geringe Sammlungen. Die Gesellschaft habe eine Sammlung und der Präsident Hagen habe ihm zugesagt, dass er nach der Sitzung am Freitag Dipteren aussuchen könne. Es sei nur wenig Bernstein mit Insekten in Königsberg, Schweigger habe alles an Klug in Berlin geschickt, in Schweiggers Nachlass sei nicht ein Stück Bernstein gewesen. In Pillau sei eine entsprechende Sammlung, die Hagen für das mineralogische Kabinett möchte. Eine Sammlung aus Memel koste eine unvernünftig hohe Summe. Am Sonntag, 17.1., möchte er die versprochenen Sachen übersenden. In Königsberg sei noch eine Sammlung der Mutter des Dr. Hennig. In den "Deliciae pragensis" seien Untersuchungen über Bernstein-Insekten drin. Er hat noch immer den "Thesaurus" von Seba, war aber gerade mit seinen "Vorlesungen über Anthropologie" (Erster Theil, Königsberg 1824) beschäftigt. Zur Stelle von Bojanus, er sei gerade zur Kur in Ems und wolle seine Position wohl aufgeben.
