Abstract:
Die Vielfalt der heutigen Kulturen in Europa ist erheblich, und jede von ihnen hat nicht nur geistige, sondern auch räumliche Ursprünge. Oftmals sind sie an ihre heutigen Orte gewandert. Dafür gab es diverse Gründe - etwa Not und Krieg, Überbevölkerung oder Missionierungen. Es kam zu Wanderungen von Bevölkerungsteilen oder ganzen Völkern. Sie konnten in einer neuen Umgebung ihre Kultur teilweise bewahren oder gar durchsetzen. Darüber wurde 2022 von ausgewiesenen Fachleuten aus verschiedenen Bereichen vorgetragen. Die Beispiele reichen von der Antike bis in die Gegenwart, von Sizilien bis Osteuropa, von religiösen bis zu weltlichen Beweggründen. Dadurch wird ein eindrucksvoller Gesamteindruck vermittelt.Das von der Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Landesbüro Sachsen-Anhalt geförderte Buch enthält Beiträge von Gerrit Deutschländer, Ulf Dräger, Tomoko Elisabeth Emmerling, Rüdiger Fikentscher, Kurt Fricke, Anja Lochner-Rechta, Heiner Lück, Anne Sahra Matvijets, Arnold Muhl, Alfred Reichenberger, Marianne Schröter und Andrej Stephan
