Abstract:
In der heutigen dynamischen Informationsgesellschaft hängt der Erfolg einer Organisation nicht mehr von einmal gesetzten Impulsen ab, sondern es zählt die Fähigkeit, Strategien ständig den veränderten Rahmenbedingungen anzupassen. Vorliegende Konzepte des organisationalen Wandels trivialisieren komplexe Sachverhalte auf eine Weise, dass sie nur über eine sehr begrenzte Geltung verfügen. Theorien der Selbstorganisation, wie z.B. die neuere Systemtheorie, die eine angemessenere Betrachtung erlauben, sind dagegen bisher kaum auf die anwendungsorientierte Organisationsforschung übertragen worden. Vor diesem Hintergrund wird im erkenntnis- und wissenschaftstheoretischen Teil der Untersuchung auf Grundlage der neueren Systemtheorie eine pluralistische Forschungsstrategie abgeleitet, die auch für pragmatische Gestaltungshinweise zu nutzen ist. Im Anschluss steht die Entwicklung eines konkreten Forschungsrahmens, bestehend aus einem "Forschungsobjekt Organisation" als analytische Einheit verschiedener Systeme bzw. Untersuchungsperspektiven und einem modelltheoretischen Lösungsansatz strategischer Anpassungsfähigkeit, der gleichzeitig den Anwendungsfall für etwaige Gestaltungshinweise darstellt. Strategische Anpassungsfähigkeit entspricht danach einem "organisationalen Wissen um strategischen Wandel", dessen Produktion durch das Vorhandensein bestimmter Bedingungen wahrscheinlicher wird. Im Unterschied zum üblichen Vorgehen werden so pragmatische Gestaltungsvorschläge abgeleitet, deren Zweck und Ziel aus abstrakten theoretischen Modellüberlegungen resultieren und nicht aus einem direkten – oft trügerischen – Praxiszusammenhang. Abschließend verdeutlicht ein Prozessmodell zur Realisierung eines "Organisationalen Wissens um strategischen Wandel" in einer Welt elektronischer Netzwerkmedien die praktische Anwendbarkeit des verwendeten begrifflichen Konzepts.
