Here, Lenny Henry and Marcus Ryder introduce an essential collection of essays arguing how and why we need to fight for Black lives to matter -- not just for Black people, but for British society as a whole. Contributors include Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon, named the most influential woman in UK technology in 2020; world-famous architect Sir David Adjaye; leading historian David Olusoga; Professor Kehinde Andrews, founder of the first-ever Black Studies degree in Europe; award-winning author Kit de Waal; Baroness Doreen Lawrence, social campaigner and mother of the murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence; and Leroy Logan, the pioneering former Metropolitan Police superintendent.
