    Abstract: Unter Aufsicht ihres Meisters stellen mehrere Männer im Dorf Tanyanyia einen Armring für junge Frauen her: Von einem Elefantenzahn wird eine Scheibe abgesägt und mit Querbeil und Messer bearbeitet. Zum Schluß wird das fertige Werkstück vom Meister unter Musikbegleitung in feierlicher Prozession zum Ahnenaltar gebracht und dort den Ahnen vorgewiesen.

    Abstract: In Tourni stellt ein Schmied einen Armring mit aufgeschweißtem Mäanderband her. Ein anderer Schmied in Kankalaba schmiedet ein zweischneidiges Messer mit einer polierten scharfen Kante, die parallel zu der Messerschneide liegt. Seine Gehilfen stellen den Holzgriff her. Beide Schmiede benutzen ein aus Lehm gebautes Doppelschalengebläse mit Schaffellmembranen.

In seinem Gehöft bearbeitet der Schnitzer einen der Blöcke mit Querbeil und Axt und haut daraus einen vierbeinigen Frauenhocker.

    Abstract: This film shows parts of dances performed during the celebrations held when the young boys reach adolescene. Apart from the dance movements, we are shown the typical, rich clothing and body adornments. The marriageable girls also take part in the dancing, the musical accompaniment for which is provided by a flute, metal leg-rattles, and individual finger-bells.

Ein Knabe stellt ein Provianttäschchen her, indem er über einen spiralig aufgerollten Grasstrang Schlingen legt und netzartig verknotet; dann entfernt er den Grasstrang. Ein anderer Knabe flicht eine Schleuder und demonstriert die Handhabung.
    Abstract: Shows the plaiting techniques used in creating a number of items: a small rectangular basket, a round basket, a grass and bark plate, a storage container, and a sling for carrying a child. The proper handling of the sling is then demonstrated.

    Abstract: Es werden Kriegstänze mit gemimten Kampfhandlungen unter Voranschreiten des Kriegsführers und ein Scheinkampf zwischen zwei Kriegerscharen mit je einem Vorkämpfer vorgeführt. Zum Schluß führen zwei mit Bogen, Beil, Schild und Helm bewaffnete Krieger die Kampfesweise beim Einzelkampf vor.
    Abstract: Presents three forms of war dances. The first is performed with invisible weapons and drum accompaniment and is the same dance used before the departure to actual battle and after the victorious return of the soldiers. The second scene is a mock combat between two troops of warriors. At the end of that performance two warriors equipped with bow, hatchet, shield and helmet demonstrate the procedures used in hand-to-hand combat.

    Abstract: In einem Manufaktur-Großbetrieb in Ouagadougou werden kleine Figuren aus Wachs modelliert, mit Lehmbrei ummantelt, getrocknet und an einem offenen Holzfeuer gebrannt, wobei das Wachs ausgeschmolzen wird. Aus verschiedenen Altmetallen stellt man in einem Schmelztiegel über offenem Feuer und mit Hilfe eines Schlauchgebläses die Gußspeise her, die in die Model gefüllt wird. Nach Erkalten werden die Model zerschlagen, die Figuren gereinigt und mit Lackfarben bemalt.
    Abstract: Shows the production of small figures using the lost-wax method. Wax models are shaped and covered with damp clay. After the clay has dried the models are fired, which melts the wax away. Previously smelted metal is poured into the remaining cavity of the mold. After cooling, the form is destroyed and the molded figure is decorated with enamel paint.
